ART

At Maranatha we believe that Art encourages development and enhances creativity and spontaneity. Consequently, we have established a fully equipped Art Room which caters for all manner of artistic endeavours, such as portrait drawing, acrylic painting, silk screening, lino cut printing, ceramics and sculpture. Students are shown how to use a variety of art equipment appropriately and effectively. They are also encouraged to engage in critically analysing works from different art movements (Pop Art, Pointillist, Expressionist and Aboriginal Art). In the upper years, students will also have the opportunity of visiting the Art Gallery of Western Australia as part of the course.
